In an informative and accessible session, Lauren Macleod, agent at the Strothman Agency, gave tips helpful to both the internet savvy and the internet novice.
A list of questions that individual writers could answer for themselves included;
- What type of writer are you?
- What makes you interesting?
-What do you want and who do you want it from?
The presentation included examples and many more questions useful to authors.
She also listed do's and don'ts for creating online personas, and shared a list of her personal tips for which social networks are the best use of an author's time and resources.
One of the best tips was Lauren's 90/10 rule, that online you give 90%, and take 10% of the time.
And we end with a bit of whimsy- have fun on the internet (while being professional) interact, and play!
